Germany Haul

Traveling, shopping, finding new stores, oh I just love clothes and fashion. This month I've been traveling around Germany, searching for a perfect present for my bestie, and a cute, new outfit for myself. I can only say one thing: never, never ever, set out to go shopping with the two thoughts on your mind, that I had while shopping. First, I got frustrated by the lack of things I could buy for my bestie, as I wanted the perfect present, something I would be happy about if she gave it to me. I shopped in Leer and Bonn, and settled on a picture frame. I was going to buy her a pretty dress, the only problem? They only had an "L" left, and she is a really thin stick. :P So, I wandered around, found another dress I liked, and what do you think I did? I bought it for myself. Voila, I've liked the marine trend since I was in primary school, so there was no way I would pass on this.

Lucky me, my friend had a similar dress like this already, so I didn't have to wear a cone of shame for getting it. ^_^
I also got myself this Tom Taylor blouse, I love blouses, they're so versatile!

My mommy then gave me this blouse, and it's just adorable. <3 nbsp="" p="">

My journey continues in Koblenz, where we got some real leather for our bags, I'll post a link to Etsy, once we have uploaded some for sale. The bags will be gorgeous, amazingly gorgeous. One piece of leather had a really pretty dark green color, and it looks so perfect. Anyway, I was being my grumpy self that day, so I got a pair of summer sandal/wedges to cheer myself up. ^_^

The best thing comes last: shopping at Room Nine. We just set out to get my mom a cute, comfy outfit for when she's watching the Porsche Tennis Cup, and I ended up getting another marine inspired top, and a white cardigan thing, because thy suited me and I helped my mom find a pretty top that looked good with the rest of her outfit, not like the salesperson, who I think gave her a top that wasn't the prettiest of them all.

All in all, the shop had a ton of clothes and decoration for every occasion. I'm totally going in there again, though my purse will be empty when I leave. xoxo Marethyu <3 br="" nbsp="">Oh, and I got some school stuff too, like a pink binder, because my old one broke, but I think it isn't worth listing all the items in here. :P

Spring Nail Art

So, spring is coming along, and the flowers are beginning to grow, which is why I thought of doing a spring inspired design. I chose to accent my nails, rather than do all of them, because I think the design looks weird if its repeated over and over again. I used an emerald green, as it is the color of the year, according to Pantone, but you can choose any color green you like!

What you need:
- toothpick / striper
- dotting tool / hair pins
- white, green and yellow polish ( I used ANNY green racing drag, P2 summer to go!, and Orly white).

This I how you create the design:
1) Apply one or two layers of green nail polish, depending on how opaque your polish is, and let it dry completely!
2) Using a dotting tool, or a hair pin, create two dots on each nail you chose to do the design on, but place the dots further apart.
3) Using a striper, or a tooth pick, drag thin, white lines toward one dot, but don't connect the lines to the dot.
4) Do the same for the other dot.
5) Let the design dry and apply your fav topcoat!

Tips and tricks:
- After applying nail polish, put your hand into cold water for a few seconds, pull them out, and put them into even cooler water for about 30 seconds, this helps the polish dry faster.

Hey guys, I thought that I'll just share my favorite songs with you today since I haven't posted in awhile, because I have so much work to do.

Outfits of the Days - 06.02 and 07.02.2013

Like I mentioned in the last post, I was going to post the outfits I wore, inspired by my new clothes. So here come the fashion forward, cute styles I wore:
On Wednesday, the center piece of the outfit was my new dip-dye denim shirt.
I wore the shirt, beige Abercrombie skinnies, teal combat boots, a striped scarf, and red lips <3.
Today, the focus lay on my high-low black galaxy cross dress. I wore black tights and black combat style ankle boots with the dress, I didn't have enough time to apply galaxy eyes :'(, but oh well.
Got our semester reports today, and I'm so happy, although +Krupha isn't really excited about them. Love you Krupha! Check out her blog: Krupha's Crazy Candy, which she started because of me hehe.

Cute DIY idea :D

I'm so, so sorry! I haven't posted in such a long time, it's just that I have so much to do, I'm totally behind schedule. Anyway, the clothes I ordered have finally arrived, and I'll share an outfit I created with one of the pieces tomorrow, or on Thursday. So, the DIY, or how-to, I was thinking of doing was related to nail polish, because I love nail art, but I didn't do any, because of a lot of stuff going on..I'm thinking of doing little hearts and kiss-y lips for Valentine's day, or some Tribal or Galaxy Print themed nails, matching my dresses. I should buy clothes that match, but my closet if filled with random tribal print, edgy, girly, frilly, neutral, maritime styles, and I am totally confused on how to match this disaster.

Vintage Decoration Idea

Where are the plans we made for two? Well, I didn't make any plans, because I reject most guys. Heartless muahaha. No, actually, I'm at a pay phone trying to call home, all of my change I spent on you..
Anyway, that is one of my favorite songs at the moment.
So what I really wanted to tell you was that one of my best friends always (ALWAYS!) crumples up all of her papers. She does that to create a cool, vintage look. She writes song lyrics, poems, quotes, etc. on paper, with pretty, colorful, cutesy pens. She then crumples up her paper until it is all soft and pretty. You can use the vintage looking paper as bookmarks, posters, and decoration.
I will put up a bunch of my favorite songs by MIKA, Maroon 5, and The All American Rejects on my walls. You can frame the paper using some sort of colored tape, it's Japanese and easy to remove, but I forgot the name, sorry! Hope you liked this deco idea, I sure did. xoxo Marethyu

Outfit of the Day - 26.01.2013

Went to the cinema today, dressed myself up hehe. We watched 'Life of Pi', it was so great, yet also so sad..the tiger reminded me of Mischka, he's such a little devil, but I still love that puppy. Here comes the outfit:
Abercrombie cardigan, Abercrombie shirt, Self-sewn skirt, Brown Leg-warmers <3, Teal Combat Boots <3
Oh, and my headband of course! I'm addicted to headbands hehe
I'm a shop-, and shoe-aholic, bought myself new clothes today even though my closet is full to the brim :P. My only reason for buying stuff? I grew out of most of it so now I have to collect staples again. Do you like my outfit and style? xoxo Marethyu
